Overview of ward mergers in District 5
Starting July 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will officially implement Resolution 1685/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the rearrangement of administrative units at the commune and ward level. Accordingly, District 5 will be merged from 15 wards down to 3 new wards, including: Cho Quan Ward, An Dong Ward, Cho Lon Ward.
This merger aims to streamline the administrative apparatus and improve management efficiency. However, it also brings about a series of changes related to legal addresses, business licenses, and various corporate contracts that need updating.

Starting July 2025, District 5's administrative map will officially change. The old wards will no longer be used, replaced by new street signs: Quan Market, An Dong Market, Cho Lon Market.
Citizens and businesses can look up detailed maps through the Quang 5 People's Committee Portal. Or the Galaxy Office system to accurately determine their new address.
